News Bits... 

*Dog whiskers are tiny receptors full of nerve endings at the base of the follicles that send sensory messages to their brains. 

*A high prey drive is not something that you can or should try to train out of your dog. It is an instinct and not something that can be turned off.

*Dog saliva contains antibacterial and antimicrobial properties that may help wounds heal faster, though it's a very small amount. 

* When dogs are asleep, the electrical activity in their brains show patterns similar to those observed in humans during dreaming states.

*Fleas in your carpet? 20 Mule Team Borax- Sprinkle and let stand for 24 hours.

*When a person feels unsure, their commands often lose clarity. Tone softens, volume drops, or instructions become repetitive without follow-through. Dogs notice inconsistency quickly.

*A Green anacondas that was found was 26 ft (8 m) long and weighed over 440 lb (200 kg).

* DNA and fossil evidence suggests that domesticated dogs originated in Europe roughly 19,000 to 32,000 years ago.

Congratulations to Mary and Jody who had birthdays this April and to Kimberly who's will be on the 27 of May.

trials will be held in Dewey, AZ

ASCA May Trial: April showers bring May flowers but, in this case, it will bring the ASCA Push for Points Trial.  This trial will host 2 Farm Trials for all stock on May 13th & 14th followed up with 6 arena trials from May 15th through May 17th.  Please note this trial is not on Memorial Day weekend as in the past. Opening date is April 6th.
